For Madison's I Feel the Love Project I made a special card for Kate's parents.
Card and Envelope: Hero Arts
Image: Papercraft Inspirations -August 2011 Edition
Embellishments: K and Company 3-D Stickers, Prima Flower Centers, Hero Arts Gems, Brads (stash), Hobby Lobby Ribbon
Copics: E11, BV23, BV25, BG20, V25,E21, R20,E37,E29,RV04,Y15
Stamp: Kaisercraft Typewriter Font
I used foam tape behind the edge to make it look like the little girl and cat are sitting on the "ribbon wall." I staggered the lettering to give it a "child like" print. The flowers are placed on top of the die cut image. Some are die cuts and some are Prima Flower Centers. You can't see it well in the picture but the card has nice dimension and looks like it is going to jump out from the card.
Challenge: Shopping Our Stash- We are supposed to identify our weak spot when it comes to shopping for stash. Oh I know mine beyond a shadow of doubt. I love the European Paper Craft Magazines.I purchase them from JoAnn's. I love them because they are different from our U.S. magazines. They always have a free gift-so I can try out new scrapbook supplies. They also do a great job of breaking new techniques down into small steps with actual pictures. And today's image came from one of those magazines. And the other part of me just enjoys learning new words for crafting supplies or new spellings. (Color vs. Colour or store vs stockist.) OK so the teacher in me is still alive and kicking! LOL
