Digitally Sweet Challenge 2-Flowers Blog Candy Winner

 Time for our second challenge at Digitally Sweet! This week it is all about the flowers.

So this week I learned how to make embellishments a different size in My Memories Suite 3. Same as in Word click on the edge of the boxes and wait for it to turn to a single arrow and then slide your mouse to desired size and let go.

Ober Gatlinburg (Tennessee) for the most part was a disappointment for us. The little zoo was not worth the $7.00 admission price that was on top of the tram price, but the otters were adorable. The tram was scenic, but we didn't feel it was worth the price either. It really was one of those places we could have skipped. Now if we were skiers or snow tubers it would have been a different story during the winter. But May really didn't have much to offer for the price.

Gymnastics Team Jacket Layout and Blog Candy Winner

Well there has been a turn around after the last round of chemo! YEAH!! But now I am trying very hard to get caught up with everything. I signed up for Latrice Murphy's Scrapbook Throwdown and the first day challenge was to use three 4x6 pictures.So I took it and The Paper Variety sketch challenge and combined them together.

The pictures are Scott's first team jacket. And it just so happens I also designed the jacket. And what a challenge that was trying to draw a consensus with all of the team members parents, lol. I am thinking perhaps I am ready for a position with the United Nations now, lol.

For my layout today, I used Digi Darla's "Birdhouse Flowerpot"

I made two copies of the digital image. I cut out elements on one image and added some foam tape to given some "pop" to the image. I did try to add some Stickles, but the image bled. I have an inkjet printer and I think that was the problem.

Blog Candy Winner and My News

Sorry I didn't get to this sooner. My doctors have been using a low grade form of Chemo (Remicaid) to try and kill off my immune system to get the Behcet's under control. It is basically a trial and error experimental treatment. And it has been fought with problems. The latest is that on Tuesday while driving my shoulders suddenly froze in position and made it impossible for me to use my arms and hands. Within an hour my hips froze and an hour later my knees.  Extremely painful. When we got home my shoulders were bright red and warm. Long story short is that I am in terrible pain and can not lift my hands above my waist. The keyboard is sitting on my lap. They think the Remicaid dose was not high enough and it was too far between infusions. So I have another infusion on Monday but in the meantime life is painful. Holding  a pair of scissors is excruciating.

So I haven't been able to do a whole on the computer. But here is the winner of  last week's hop:)
