Welcome to Operation Write Home's Blog Hop and World Card Making Day! Are you enjoying all of the awesome cards? I apologize for not having the logo but blogger is having attitude. Just click on the link and it will take you to the list of bloggers' participating.
Before we get to my card I just want to thank all of the men, women, and their children who are giving so much for the sake of our country. We had family at the Pentagon on 9/11 and we are well aware what a gift you are giving to our country. Every time I see someone in uniform I make sure my children and I go up to them and say thank you in person. It would be wonderful if we all would take the time to thank each of them. Can you imagine what it would do for morale?
The challenge at Operation Write Home that was given to us was to use a sketch with a winter theme. So I have turned this sketch on it's side for my card:)
Message: In the meadow we will build a snowman.....
Supplies:
Cardstock and Paper: Hero Arts Folded Cards, Basic Grey Aspen Frost
Peppermint Brad: Stash
Mittens: Dress it Up Embellishments
Image: Crafty Secret Cottonscraps (I pulled the threads to give it more of a vintage look. This card reminds me of Christmas in the 60's.)
Ribbon for hanging mittens: Hobby Lobby
Adhesives: Glue Glider Pro, Glue Dots
Always Playing with Paper Merry Monday #35-Sketch and Christmas
Blog Candy Alert: Be sure to leave a comment and a way to contact you. I am giving away a $15 gift certificate to a2z Scrapbooking! Here's you chance to get some new Hero Arts Christmas Stamps or Operation Write Home Stamps.
