Grandparents are such special people. In fact my maternal grandmother was my best friend. After my grandfather died it was common for me to spend the weekend with my grandmother because she hated to be alone. And I loved to spend the weekend with her. We often played Gin Rummy, had baked chicken for dinner and went out for lunch. I loved going out to lunch with her because we often met up with her teaching friends who traveled a lot. Oh the stories I heard:)
Unfortunately we couldn't afford film back then, so at the moment I have no pictures. And my parents had a flood and all of their pictures were destroyed. So while the warm feelings linger on, at the moment I have nothing to share.
And this week is a celebration of Grandparents. So instead I did a grandmother layout for a baby album I am making for a friend.
Supplies:
