Blast Off to Summer Blog Hop

Welcome to the Blast Off to Summer Blog Hop! This wonderful hop is sponsored by our blogging friends Wendy and Lynda! If you came to me from Angi at Cokiepopper you are in the right spot. Otherwise you may want to start at the beginning with Wendy.

Elizabeth- http://visionsofpaper.blogspot.com YOU ARE HERE:)

My project today is for a very special teacher. She has been an awesome teacher and does a great job teaching a friend's child that has Celiac Disease. Celiac is a disease that is caused by a gluten intolerance. Gluten is found in wheat, rye, and barley. It causes lots of digestive and neurological issues for him. He was originally diagnosed with Autism, but when dietary changes and gluten was removed from the classroom he has been very successful. The autism diagnosis has been removed.

My project is a thank you card for the teacher:

After hours of trying to figure out why Blogger is turning this pic sideways I am clueless. If anyone knows how to fix it I would appreciate your sharing the info:)

  6. Hi Elizabeth ... I don't know why Blogger is being persnickety. Perhaps you can go back into how you saved the file (e.g., PhotoShop? Picasa?) and rotate the file and resave? It's just an idea to try. I agree, it's beautiful! I especially like the floral garland! I am a new follower (#78) -- good luck on reaching your goal, you'll get there!!!

It is nice seeing that you appreciate your friends teacher.

  12. Elizabeth, this card is just lovely!

I am now a follower, but I can't post anything on a blog because I don't have a blog, I sure hope this doesn't disqualify me.

  13. Beautiful card Elizabeth! i LOVE that stamp - dancing with flowers! So adorable! Sweet of you to make this for this apparently fabulous teacher. So glad they found out the child did not have autism but only food allergies. Not that that is not a big deal - i know several kids with Celiac and it is not a fun thing - amazing how something like gluten intolerance can affect a person enough that they want to diagnose him with autism... I am follower #85 - good luck on your goal of 100 - looks like you might make it!

  17. Oh i love your card. I find the way i take my pictures sometimes save sideways. I open the picture and rotate it and save again before you upload. This should work for you. Thanks for dropping by my blog. i'm looking for the site i got this image from, it was a freebie and most times the artists don't put their name to the file. I try to remember to add it myself but i forget sometimes. If i come across it i'll let you know...thanks. kim www.justwordz.ca
