Good Afternoon Blogging Friends,
Wow what a month it has been! Scott finished his first semester in college with a B average! And he got a job working full time unloading trucks at a local department store! And it is his dream job! It is so nice seeing him happy and smiling:)
I ended up being admitted to the hospital on Mother's Day. Behcets causes oral and genital ulcers that are extremely painful all by themselves. One of the ulcers became infected with MRSA. I ended up very ill with a kidney infection on top of it all. We had to boost my prednisone to get on top of the Bechets flare and it caused my diabetes glucose levels to seriously spike. I am home now, but I have to go back to the hospital daily for two hours for IV antibiotics. The first antibiotic wasted away muscle tissue so we had to change course midstream and took a few steps back. However, it seems I am now headed in the right direction except that everything tastes like alka seltzer water and I don't want to eat or drink. I never thought I'd see the day where I couldn't stand my Diet Pepsi!
And in the meantime I had intended to get James high school graduation announcements in the mail over last weekend. Well the hospital took care of that. However they are in the mail now. Here's a peek at his announcement: (The black around the quotes is Core'dinations Black Tie-it shines in reality. And the embossed Core'dinations Pearl also has a shine to it in. Unfortunately the day is overcast and it it didn't show in the picture.)
Inside it says:
Every yesterday is a memory of dreams
Every tomorrow is a vision of hope
With great joy and pride Elizabeth Campau

ReplyDeleteCongratulations for your son! Wishing for him the best and for you to continue being a proud mother, not giving up with your health problems.
Keep on....
Elizabeth - I hope you are feeling much better and everything you taste is losing the alka seltzer flavor. You are such an inspiration, staying positive and upbeat. Congratulations on your son's graduation and the card you made is just absolutely beautiful! I love the Core'dinations paper, the sparkle is so elegant. Thanks so much for posting my giveaway and feel much, much better soon :)
ReplyDeleteIt is a gorgeous card. I'm sorry you had to get it out so late.

OH, Elizabeth, your must be so proud! Congratulations. Your card is awesome! I love that quote you have in the front and the one inside is so nice, I need to write it down :o) The black & White was such a great idea. I love when the paper embellishes itself with glimmer and shine.
ReplyDeleteI am glad you are feeling better. I so understand the antibiotics. I was on the IV antibiotics for 3 months, 24/7. (2 months in the hospital and 1 month at home) So when I was home, the bag was my constant companion. I could hardly stand to eat anything but organic lettuce. I lost 30 pounds, lol, now if I could just loose the rest while "enjoying" food. ;o)
Keep healing :o) {{{hugs}}}
