Have A Merry Little Christmas Card

This is an adapted CASE from Simply Cards and PaperCraft Issue 90. I so fell in love with the teddy bear:)

Tip: Something new I learned with this project. Cut a slit in the fold of the card the same size of the ribbon. Pull the ribbon through. It makes the ribbon lie much smoother and easier to tie the bow. It eliminated the need for adhesive:)

Supplies:
Paper: Simply Cards and PaperCraft Issue 90 (Joann's carries this)
Long Card: Hero Arts (Discontinued)
Buttons: Stash
Twine for buttons: Jillibean Bean Stalks
Embellishments: Jesse James Dress It Up
Foam Tape: Ek Success
Flock: Doodlebug
Stickles: Ranger Time Holtz Distress Picket Fence
Ribbon: Michaels
Ink: Hero Arts Latte Chalk Ink

Simply Cards and PaperCraft refers to this technique as Decoupage. However, here in the states the technique is paper piecing. You cut out the individual pieces and layer with foam tape. To me the U.S. version of decoupage involves the use of Mod Podge or some kind of glue covering all of the pieces.

I added White Doodlebug Flocking and a little bit of Ranger Picket Fence Stickles to the fur portion of the Hat. I didn't want it to be too shiny because of the muted colors of the paper. And I wanted the Flock to give a soft feeling to the fur.

Have a day filled with Beary good moments:)
