Lasting Memories Challenge-Red and White and Niagara River Areo Car

This week at Lasting Memories we are celebrating Canada Day using Red and White. The owner of Lasting Memories, Karen is Canadian, as is DT  Sister Kimberly. Happy Canada Day to both of them:)

Canada Day celebrates the joining of the British North American colonies of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and the Province of Canada into a federation of four provinces -the Province of Canada being divided, in the process, into Ontario and Quebec on July 1, 1867. Canada became a kingdom in its own right on that date, but the British  Parliament  kept limited rights of political control over the new country that were shed by stages over the years until the last vestiges were surrendered in 1982.

As a teenager I went with my parents and two sisters to Niagara Falls. One of my favorite memories was riding over the Niagara River in an aero car.
The Aero car was designed by a Spanish engineer, Leonardo Torres Quevedo and has been in operation since 1916. I rode it in 1977.

The Aero Car is suspended 250 feet above the Niagara Rapids.

Tip: I didn't have red Thickers. So I used Copic R29 to color the white American Craft Thickers Red. When buying alphabets, I always buy extra white so I have them on hand to color with Copics to match the layout.

Supplies:
Alphabets: Doodlebug, American Crafts Foam Thickers
Flowers and Brads: Stash
Pearls: Zva Creative
Cardstock and Papers: Doodlebug, Stash
Die: Cheery Lynn Design Flourish
Markers: Copic R29 Lipstick Red
Adhesive Tombow Power Adhesive Tabs, Glue Glider Pro
Ribbon: Micheal's

Challenges:
Creative Scrappers Sketch 214

Looking forward to seeing what your creative mojo can do with Red and White!

Have a wonderful week!
