Thank you for all of the awesome entries in last week's challenge! It was amazing:)
For this week's challenge at Lasting Memories we're asking you to use the
same photo twice on your layout. Some of the DT have projects have
identical photos, some have the same subject from different angles and
Denise has an awesome reflection photo that she played with.
I used the same photo to create a 3D image.
Use of Double Take: Sometimes its hard to see the key person in a busy photo. A great trick is to cut out the person and place it on top of the original with foam tape. In this case I actually used three photos to help it pop in the layout photo for the blog.(The arrow points it out) I used the arrow because one picture was of my son's back, but the other was of his face. And that grimace is a familiar face in Rugby! Rugby is not for faint of heart mothers, lol. It's really a lot like football without the protective gear.
Supplies:
Cardstock and Paper: Stash
Alphabet: American Crafts
Dies; Spellbinders Stars, Papertrey Arrows
Washi Tape: Freckled Fawn, Queen's Company
Tips:
1. Originally I used the washi tape directly on the green cardstock and it was lost. I then added a piece of white scrap cardstock and added the washi tape on top of it. It really made it pop!
2. To make the stars I put strips of washi tape on scrap cardstock and then used my Sizzix to cut out the stars. Using the washi tape was a great solution to not having the right patterned paper.
Looking forward to seeing your double takes!
Love this Elizabeth! I know all about Rugby... Jacob is on his schools rugby team and our local ER knows us well.....lol.
