Childhood Memories....hmmm isn't it fun when we can watch our children enjoying the same activities we enjoyed as children? Bumper Boats are loved by my kids as much as I loved them as a kid. I did it once or twice because my parents couldn't afford to pay for three kids to ride them, but I loved them when I had the opportunity!
So I chose to do a layout of the boys playing bumper boats while also sharing my personal childhood memory!
Journal I loved bumper cars and boats as a kid. Watching the boys ride them is also fun!
I used scattered hexagons to continue the theme of bumper boats around the water.
Supplies:
Scrapbook Kit: Studio Calico Neverland March 2013
Teal Velvet Paper: Stash
Notebook paper: Stash
Die: Spellbinders Hexagons
Challenges:
Stuck On U Sketches; Diecut challenge Are you Seaworthy? I used hexagon dies to represent the bumper boats in the water
Don't forget to leave a comment to be in the drawing.
Looking forward to seeing your Childhood Memories:)
Love this layout! I really like the way you tied your story in with the journaling! The design is fantastic! love all the hexagons....

Sounds like a fun challenge and I do have a lot of good memory of my childhood. Thanks for sharing your beautiful layout, I must admit I have never been in a bumper car but when the kids go they have a blast.

ReplyDeleteGreat idea to mix your story with your kids too..
Thanks for sharing.. Toni.. :)
This is super cute. Love the colors
ReplyDeleteGreat layout Elizabeth. My family has been going to Lake Winnepesaukee in NH ever since I was little kid. Now we take my boys there and revisit all our old haunts. It's great getting to experience it through their eyes and creating a new generation of memories.
