Operation Write Home Memorial Day Weekend BlogHop-Thank You Card

My thank you goes out to all of the men, women and families who have done a WONDERFUL job of sacrificing for our country to make sure we stay safe. My father was a Korean Vet and we had family at the Pentagon on 911.  We can never thank you enough!

And a special thank you to those who are protecting Indianapolis during the Indy 500. The boys and I have noticed that you are here!

Operation Write Home Memorial Day Weekend Blog Hop

Tip: I used Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distress Ink to make it look like Chocolate Cake Batter around the edges. ( My recipe cards are always a mess, lol.)

The cake is a honeycomb popup:) It meets OWH requirements when it is folded down:)

OWH World Cardmaking Day Card Hop



Thanks for joining the OWH Blog Hop today. This organization is near and dear to my heart because my birth father was a Korean Vet and we had family at the Pentagon on 9-11. Thank you to the families and members of the armed forces for the sacrifices you have made for our Country.

Flower Soft: Poppy Red, Christmas Green
Embellishments: Hero Arts Red and Green Gemstones, Yellow Gemstones
Adhesives: Ranger Glossy Accents, Glue Glider Pro, EK Success Foam tape
Copics: R59, R46, R20,Y28, G28, E11, E34, E33, E81, W3
Stamp: Whiff of Joy Angel Delivering the Christmas Tree

Tip: I colored the Christmas Tree for the bottom layer. On the second layer I cut the tree out and colored it. I then applied the red gemstone. I attached the tree to the angel with foam tape. I used Glossy Accents on the tree and then applied the Christmas Green Flower Soft. I then used Flower Soft Red Poppy for the flower.

Winner of OWH Paper Piecing Challenge

Random Organizer is giving me grief and will not copy and paste today. However, I used the one on my blog and put in the numbers 1-14. Number 6 is the winner! Which is Cherie from Cherie's Corner of the World. I have already contacted Cherie on her website. Thanks to everyone who participated. I am still trying to leave comments on everyone's blog or  Flicker (Flicker is really having attitude!) So if you did not get a comment, I am sorry, I did try:)
