Lasting Memories Challenge # 76 Wrapped Up In Ribbon

Well the challenge for me this week was a bit more challenging than normal. May Arts sent each member of the Design Team a piece of ribbon to include in Lasting Memories Wrapped Up In Ribbon challenge layouts. Mine was hot pink ric rack. I have boys! LOL So I thought and thought. And then I called Mom and asked her to come to the rescue! She found my baby pics-which were perfect since this year one of my goals and to get my story told through scrapbooking.

So now my true age is about to be divulge. It's hard to hide the fact I was born in the early 60's when you look at this baby seat! LOL And check out the colors of my grandmother's living room! LOL And yes I am half a century young:)

Supplies: Everything on this layout is The Girls Paperie, except for the Mayarts Ric Rack. I found the paper collection  through a real cool discount website Scrapbook Steals. They have two daily deals morning and evening. I often can get a complete paper and embellishment collection for 50-75% off! And shipping is very reasonable.

Since this is ribbon week we decided as a Design Team to share how we store ribbon. So now you will know one of my secret addictions right up there with paper- RIBBON. It like a magnet to me. My idea of a good time is to spend an hour sifting through the ribbon at Micheal's or Hobby Lobby. And the dollar bin has my name written all over it. Sometimes when I am having a bad day I just like to play with my ribbon as therapy!  So yes I really do have 7 Simply Renee Clip It Up Ribbon Organizers. And I have told myself I can't buy anymore ribbon until I use what I have. So that hot pink rick rack from May Arts was soothing to my soul!!!!

I also use  a Pull EZ Ribbon Purse. This is great for those smaller pieces. And get this-I have never had a single tangle!!!

The prize this week at Lasting Memories is sponsored by May Arts. Look at all of that yummy ribbon! Get those layouts submitted so that you don't miss out !

Wedding Layout

I fell in love with Kaisercraft's English Rose Collection when it came out. The problem was that with two boys I do not have a big call for it. Then I remembered that I never scrapped my wedding pictures. At first it was weird since I am divorced, but the thought of doing it for my future grandchildren gave me a good excuse. And this week Use it Tuesday's challenge is to use unused die cuts, punches or punches. And the Kaisercraft Muriel Die Cut from the English Rose Collection has been calling my name for months!! A perfect time to use it!

I made the ribbon flowers using Cosmo Crickets Glubber 2 inch circles and Hobby Lobby's Bridal Trim Ribbon.  I strated twisting the ribbon from the middle and worked my way out. I used Prima leaves and some tiny rosebuds I found at Micheal's in the bridal section to finish it out.

I found some pink and white silk flowers at Hobby Lobby and twisted them together using Glue Dots Mini Dots to adhere to the paper. I won a string of beaded pearls from Sandy at Paper Transformers. I used glue mini dots to tack it down to the paper.

Supplies:

Paper: Kaisercraft English Rose Collection: Muriel, Estelle (I cut off about 1/4 inch off the top to keep the bottom border strip because I really liked the rose border on the back of the Estelle paper.)

Ribbon Flower: Hobby Lobby Bridal Ribbon, Prima Leaves, Micheals Bridal Trim

Adhesive: Glue Glider Pro Extreme Tac, Glue Dots Mini Dots, Cosmo Cricket Glubbers

Flowers: Micheal's Bridal Trims

Rub-On's: Kaisercraft English Rose

Challenges: Use it Tuesday

Have a wonderful day filled with heartfelt moments!
